Schubert Die Schöne Müllerin
The celebrated counter tenor Iestyn Davies, alumnus of the Temple Church Choir, performs Schubert’s eternal song cycle, Die Schöne Müllerin, for the first time in his career. The work is considered one of Schubert’s most important cycles and one of the pinnacles of Lied, and it is widely performed and recorded. It will be fascinating to see and hear Iestyn Davies’ portrayal of this story of the itinerant miller and his love for the beautiful miller’s daughter – the “Müllerin” of the title.
Tickets include an interval drink.
