This exciting series celebrates and supports promising young artists as they begin their careers.
Aurèle Marthan returns to the Temple to perform in the young artist series joined by Charles Hervet, a rising star among the current generation of French cellists. Aurèle and Charles both graduated from the Royal Academy of Music and are accomplished soloists and chamber musicians in France and across Europe. Aurèle has also studied piano and chamber music at the Higher National Conservatory of Music (CNSM) in Paris and at the Instituto Superiore di Cremona in Italy. Charles Hervet’s recent highlights include his Wigmore Hall debut in 2011, collaboration with Wolfram Christ, the Met soloists, a Proms Plus concert broadcast on BBC Radio 3, a live radio show on France Musique, and Beethoven Triple Concerto with Jan Talich, Jean-Yves Thibaudet and Andrew Litton.
This concert is generously supported by Sir Richard Aikens and friends.
