Inner and Middle Temple support the costs of the liturgy and related music for the Temple Church. Concerts and other musical events at the Temple, and in particular the Temple Church, have only been possible thanks to the generous support of individuals, trusts, chambers, companies in addition to the two Inns.
The Temple Music Foundation, a registered charity, was founded to support the choir and the music in the Temple Church outside the liturgy and initially to realise the commissioned work of John Tavener, The Veil of the Temple. The continuing aims of the Temple Music Foundation are to find funds to further heighten the awareness of the excellence of the choir through public concerts, broadcasts, tours recordings. In addition, the Foundation works with the Inns and theTemple Music Trust to ensure funds are available for scholarships for the boy choristers' education at the City of London School.
The fundraising team at the Temple Music Foundation welcomes all enquiries about different opportunities to be involved with the music in the Temple. There are many and varying ways in which your contribution, at whatever level, may be maximised. Please contact us to explore how you can help us to preserve the wonderful tradition of music at the Temple.
