John Ashton Thomas If You’d Seen This | Trio for Flute, Viola and Harp | River Thames Sextet | Temple Meditation and Echoes (world premiere)
Debussy Sonata for Flute, Viola and Harp
John Surman Tintagel
John Ashton Thomas is one of this country’s most versatile composers. It is hard to think of a genre or ensemble type for which he has not written during his award-winning career. Whilst his most prolific work has been for the big screen - the long list of films on which he has worked ranges from King Lear to The Bourne Trilogy - this concert shows that he is equally brilliant writing on a much smaller scale. Showcasing his own choice of chamber music with a hint of jazz on the side, this concert features John’s chamber and jazz musicians of choice.
