The Bar Choral Society is based in the Temple with singers drawn from across the legal system. The choir gives approximately two concerts per year with professional soloists and orchestras – performing everything from Gabrieli to Gershwin, Byrd to Bernstein.
Join them and their musical director, Greg Morris, for a performance of Maurice Duruflé's masterwork that blends Gregorian chant with a sumptuous soundworld of 20th Century France. A work of profound beauty and quiet intensity, Duruflé’s setting offers a deeply personal meditation on mortality, consolation and eternal peace.
