A remarkable number of top lawyers are also closet rock ’n roll stars. Ever since 2009 they have been able to indulge their alter egos while raising money for good causes in the global Law Rocks! Battle of the Bands. The rules? Each band plays a short set of covers (it’s unfair to inflict original material on colleagues); repeat performers must come up with a new set-list every time. Oh, and Mustang Sally is banned.

Law Rocks provides an opportunity for the global legal community to bring attention and funding to deserving local nonprofits. The vision is to make a real difference in cities around the world by raising funds and attention for local organizations that change local lives. So far Law Rocks has raised $10 million and toured to 34 cities and five continents with its signature combination of rock-n-roll and charitable giving.

Doors open at 6.30pm, with the first band on stage at approximately 7.30pm.  There will be a card-only bar with limited hot food options - arrive early to avoid disappointment!

This 'unplugged' concert is a Law Rocks! promotion, with support in kind from Temple Music Foundation.

"Our goal is to raise money for those less fortunate than ourselves, while giving the legal industry the chance to realize their potential as rock stars!"

Nick Child, Law Rocks Founder

"What better way to unwind from a day of intense discussions about dispute resolution than to enjoy some favourite tunes over a glass of something fizzy. Unwind? London's Scala venue was rocking until the small hours this morning as six bands of lawyers put on a rousing London International Disputes Week show."
