The love poems in the Old Testament known variously as "The Song of Solomon", "The Song of Songs", and "The Canticles" have inspired artists and musicians through the ages. This beautifully-crafted programme of choral music ranging from Renaissance polyphony to serene settings of these ancient texts by living composers is interspersed with ethereal chant by Hildegard. An hour of exquisite music from one of London's finest professional church choirs in one of the City's most historic and beautiful churches.
