Four outstanding chamber musicians come together as the Temple Soloists to perform two landmark works of the string quartet repertoire - a treat of a programme for our very first concert in the magnificent yet intimate Parliament Chamber of Middle Temple. Mozart's 'Dissonance' Quartet is famous for the extraordinary harmonic boldness of its opening, and the tender second movement of the Tchaikovsky's First Quartet is one of the most beloved things the composer ever wrote - Tolstoy is said to have wept when he heard it in 1876.
