Temple Music Foundation has a new Chair

After many years of dedicated service, Guy Beringer has stepped down as Chair of the Temple Music Foundation. A trustee since 2016, Guy has been greatly appreciated for his calm, thoughtful and supportive leadership. During his tenure as Chair, Temple Music expanded significantly, presenting a record 46 concerts in 2025. We are immensely grateful for his commitment and guidance over the years, and wish him every success and happiness in the future.

We are delighted to welcome Michael McLaren KC as the Foundation's new Chair. A trustee since 2014, Michael brings a wealth of experience and a longstanding commitment to Temple Music, and we look forward to working with him as the Foundation enters its next chapter. A lifelong enthusiast for classical music and jazz, he is honoured and delighted to lead and expand the Foundation's mission of bringing outstanding music to the heart of the Temple.

Beyond his busy aviation practice at Fountain Court Chambers, Michael has a wide range of interests. A keen plantsman, since 2003 he has been Director of Bodnant Garden for the National Trust. He has been a trustee of various charities, such as the Chelsea Physic Garden, Afghan Action, Fishmongers’ charities and the Temple Church Trust. His love of Wales, Italy, architecture and travel all complement his passion for music.
