TMF launches Temple Music at Home

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, and the resulting lockdown of our country, Temple Music concerts, along with all other mass gatherings, have had to be cancelled for the foreseeable future. Arts organisations and performers across Britain (and indeed many other countries) face an uncertain future, as the duration of this challenging period is impossible to predict. The artists with whom we regularly work have suddenly found their diaries empty and their income drastically reduced, unable to give concerts, make recordings or fulfil their face to face teaching commitments. Meanwhile, we know that our audience, like everyone else, is having to stay at home, unable to see family and friends or take part in usual activities - which we know includes listening to live classical music.

In an attempt to do all we can during these unprecedented times, to support our regular artists and keep in touch with our audience in the way we know they most prefer, The Temple Music Foundation has launched Temple Music at Home to enable us to continue to present world-class classical music in the only way possible at present. Temple Music at Home will be a series of regular short online performances by musicians familiar to Temple Music audiences and supporters. They will be released, at least weekly, via our social media platforms (Facebook and Twitter @TempleMusicFdn) and to our e-list. The performances will include rarely seen performance footage, recently, or soon to be, released recordings and performances made during lockdown, from the artist's own home.

We hope that this small offering will help to bring enjoyment to all during this strange and worrying time, and ensure our artists and all their colleagues know that we are doing what we can to support them.

Covid-Secure

The safety of our audience, musicians and staff comes first.
