The world-famous Temple Church Choir joins forces with leading Baroque instrumentalists for an all-Handel gala to celebrate the end of term. Their selection of favourites includes two coronation anthems, and an organ concerto in which Temple Church’s prize-winning organist Charlie Andrews takes centre stage. The rush-hour performance opens in a burst of pure joy with Handel's ever-popular The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba. A delightful way to begin a summer's evening in London.
The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba (from Solomon)
Coronation anthem: 'My Heart is Inditing'
Organ Concerto Op.4 No.4 in F major
Coronation anthem: 'Zadok the Priest'
The concert lasts 50 minutes (without interval).
"The choristers of the Temple Church choir ... sang with just the untouched, radiant quality the music needs"
